The brief

Archidexign provided the interior design for a boutique on Soho Road in Birmingham, covering the shop floor, the display and seating areas and the street frontage.

The design response

The design creates a long, warm-toned shop floor lined with illuminated arched alcoves for hanging displays, with marble-effect wall panels, a cove-lit ceiling and crystal chandeliers. Circular glass display counters run down the centre of the room, timber lattice screens divide the space, and a seating area with curved upholstered furniture sits in front of a backlit wall of shelving for bags and accessories. At the street, a pale fascia carries the boutique sign between two darker neighbouring frontages.
